Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Brand Experience

Toys"R"Us.com and Babies"R"Us.com offered advertisers premium "A-spot" placements — sections above product grids that provided space for interactive brand content. In 2012, Nickelodeon used this placement to promote their new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series and the accompanying toy line.
The format was a standard rotating hero: four slides featuring products, video content, and downloadable activities, with multiple clickable hotspots linking to relevant products and content.
Modernizing the Template
Previous A-spot campaigns were built entirely in Flash, which was rapidly losing browser support. This project presented an opportunity to rebuild the template from the ground up using HTML5 and JavaScript, future-proofing these brand experiences for modern browsers.
I designed the new template system so designers could easily swap assets and define clickable hotspots without requiring developer resources for each new campaign. This streamlined production for future A-spots while maintaining the interactive capabilities clients expected.
