Twelfth Street Studio, a newly-formed architecture firm in Tampa, Florida, needed a visual identity that reflected their modern design sensibility. The principals wanted a mark that felt contemporary without chasing fleeting trends — something timeless enough to represent a range of architectural styles and project types.

The Concept

I designed a mark built on negative space and typographic contrast. The logomark pairs classic serif letterforms with strategic use of negative space, while the logotype uses a clean, modern sans-serif. This juxtaposition created a balance between timeless sophistication and contemporary design, making it flexible enough to represent traditional and modern architectural projects.
